My wife and I have just started a sketching group named garabateando.com. Garabateando (Spanish for doodling) targets not only art enthusiasts, but everyone else who hasn’t picked up a pencil since childhood. We believe it is a great and fun activity that non-artists are missing. We want to promote sketching as a form of entertainment and as a way to meet new people and places. We will be meeting every Saturday at 2pm at different places around Puerto Rico. We will mainly be in the metro area, but we would like to at least once a month go a bit farther to other municipalities.
The best part of it is that it is free, so there isn’t an excuse to take a pad and pencil to join us. There are more details on our webpage, as well as the calendar of events we’ll be having.
